The German company Kirchner Solar-Group will spend more than US$100 million to install a solar energy project in Monte Plata (east), to produce 200 megawatts to the National Interconnected Electrical System in the next three years. The executive said the work will spur the region’s development and create around 500 fixed and indirect jobs.
Kirchner said the private capital investment will improve the country’s power system, with cleaner and cheaper energy, which would be sold to the State-owned Power Companies
